Terms of Service

By installing, accessing, or using the MudahCukai mobile application or the website at mudahcukai.com.my (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and MudahCukai. By tapping "I agree", creating an account, or continuing to use the Service, you confirm that you accept these Terms in full.

You must be at least 18 years old and a Malaysian taxpayer (or otherwise legally required to file income tax with LHDN) to use MudahCukai. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

Business / company workspaces require that you have authority to act on behalf of that entity. Accountants and advisors may use multi-workspace features only with the express consent of each underlying account owner.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information during sign-up
• Keep your login email and OTP delivery channel secure
• Notify us promptly at hello@mudahcukai.com.my if you suspect unauthorised access
• Not share your account with others

You are responsible for all activity under your account. We are not liable for losses caused by your failure to safeguard your credentials.

MudahCukai offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid tiers (Plus, Pro, Ultra, Prestige) are billed monthly or annually via the platform you signed up on:

• iOS: billed by Apple via the App Store. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Android / Web: billed via Billplz (FPX online banking). Auto-renewal can be cancelled via the link in the renewal email or by contacting support.

Refunds are governed by the platform you paid through (Apple's refund policy or Billplz's terms). New accounts receive a 3-month free trial of full features starting on signup.

You agree NOT to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
• Use the Service to file false or fraudulent tax claims
• Upload content that violates any law or third-party right
• Interfere with the Service's security, infrastructure, or other users
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service

Violation may result in immediate account termination without refund.

You retain full ownership of all receipts, tax data, and documents you upload to MudahCukai ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to provide the Service to you (e.g., OCR, indexing, audit export, cloud sync between your devices).

We do not sell, rent, or use Your Content for advertising. You may export or delete Your Content at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full data handling details.

Payment processing is handled by:

• Apple App Store — for iOS subscriptions (governed by Apple's standard EULA and policies)
• Billplz — for Android / web FPX payments (governed by Billplz's terms)
• RevenueCat — subscription state synchronisation (no payment data stored by MudahCukai)

By subscribing through these channels, you also agree to their respective terms. We are not responsible for outages, refund disputes, or other issues caused by these third-party providers.

MudahCukai is a personal record-keeping and organisational tool. We are NOT:

• Tax advisors, lawyers, or accountants
• Affiliated with or endorsed by Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN)
• A substitute for professional tax advice or filing services

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. Tax laws change — you remain solely responsible for the accuracy of your filings, the legitimacy of your relief claims, and compliance with all applicable LHDN rules. Consult a qualified tax professional for advice specific to your situation.

To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, MudahCukai (and its officers, employees, contractors) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, tax penalties, or LHDN audit outcomes — arising from your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to MudahCukai in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) RM 100.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Privacy → Delete Account, or by emailing hello@mudahcukai.com.my.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms. Material changes will be notified via the app or email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
